Carson Palmer helped Terrell Owens land on his feet in Seattle

Raiders QB Carson Palmer has been something like a fairy godfather to Terrell Owens over the past three years.
It seems that when Owens is at his lowest most unemployable forks in the road, Palmers swoops in to save the day.
It was Palmer that pushed for Owens to be added to the Bengals roster after he worked out with him in 2010 and became convinced that he could be a valuable addition to that team.
At that time, Owens had already met with the team a few months prior and walked away with no deal as the Bengals elected to sign Antonio Bryant over Owens.
When Bryant went gimpy, Palmer stepped up and holy smokes…Batman and Robin (i.e. Owens and Chad Johnson) were united for a one-year run.
Palmer has been so pro-T.O. that when Owens was on the street last year, it seemed that Oakland was a logical destination after Palmer was traded there.
There workout relationship continues to this day and Owens spent some time with Palmer and other Raiders this off-season.
Although Oakland was not an option, when Palmer’s former college coach Pete Carroll needed to seek counsel on the possibility of bringing Owens to the Pacific Northwest, it was Palmer that gave the two thumbs up.
“He loved working with him, loved playing with him. He worked out with him, and knows him really well,” Carroll said. “It was really pleasing to hear that.”
Palmer was excited to discuss how the situation could work out.
“Just knowing (Carroll’s) style and the way he goes about teaching and leading his team, I just thought T.O. would be a great fit,” Palmer said. “I really enjoyed playing with (Owens). It was a great relationship when I was there, and I just let coach know I thought he would fit in really well with his style. I think they’ll have a lot of success together.”
“He was looking for a job anywhere,” Palmer said. “I know he’s worked extremely hard to come back from the injuries he’s had over the past couple of years. He was looking for a spot anywhere he could go.”
Maybe Palmer and Owens can team up for a reality show.
