MEMPHIS- The Los Angeles Clippers stepped up and fought through the pain and sunk the Memphis Grizzlies on their home court in a deciding Game 7 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series.

Marc Gasol like his brother Pau for the Lakers, stepped up and fought hard early.

Unlike his brother in the West, his effort was not enough to fight off elimination from the championship tourney.

The Clippers started the fourth period with a one point lead and thanks to some unwise bench substitutions, lost all of their momentum and quickly handed the reins over to the Clippers.

Chris Paul gave a gutsy performance down the stretch fighting for balls, making plays and creating the opportunities that allowed the Clippers to widen the gap.

When it was all said and done, the Clippers walked away after a street fight of a series only to face a rested San Antonio Spurs.

Paul finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Gasol finished with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and three blocks.
