Darrelle Revis to undergo an MRI on his left knee

New York Jets Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis did not complete a single game before after returning from a concussion injury.
Revis is due to undergo an MRI on Monday morning on his left knee, which twisted in an ugly fashion during Sunday’s 23-20 overtime victory against the Miami Dolphins.
The 2012 season could indeed be over for Revis
“No news yet,” coach Rex Ryan said after the game. “Clearly, with Darrelle … your best player, of course you’re going to be concerned. I don’t know anything about it right now. We’ll find out with the MRI.”
According to ESPN, Revis was seen walking after the game under his own power without the help of crutches.
That may or may not be a tell but what is becoming more and more evident is that Darrelle Revis could be on the road to durability issues.
“It’s huge,” linebacker Calvin Pace said. “I wouldn’t necessarily call it devastating. We’ve got enough guys who have played. In this day in the league, it’s a next-man-up mentality. I hope it’s nothing serious. If he can’t play, it has to be Kyle (Wilson) or Ellis (Lankster) or whoever. We have to keep moving because we have some opponents with serious weapons.”
“Anytime you play without the best corner in the league, there’s a difference,” safety Yeremiah Bell said. “Anytime Revis isn’t out there, it’s huge.”
With the team fearing the worst, the phrase “it’s huge” has never held so much weight.
