There is a scene today that is coming out of the Eagles training camp that is being described as bloody and scary.
Starting CB Nnamdi Asomugha is being evaluated for a concussion after he was apparently knocked out after colliding with safety Nate Allen trying to defend a pass being thrown to WR DeSean Jackson.
According to reports, Asomugha laid prone and motionless for almost five minutes before he helped himself up onto one knee.
He was at that point placed on a cart and driven off-the-field for medical evaluation.
The only confirmed injury is that he suffered a “lip laceration and had a sore neck.”
Allen while initially dazed did return to practice although Asomugha did not.
Joselio Hanson took Asomugha’s spot during his absence.
Players View will update the situation as soon as the Eagles release more information on Nnamdi’s status.
