Green Bay Packers Chad Clifton To Be Released After Failing Physical.

Green Bay Packer LT Chad Clifton is in the process of being released by the team. The former 2000 second round pick has been on a steady physical decline over the past two years and has now come to the end-of-the-road.

Clifton recently failed a physical with the team a signal that he’s not prepared to continue his NFL career.

The Packers were due to give him $5.75 million this year to step between the hashes.

Don’t question Clifton’s heart as he did have back surgery this off-season which could be at the root of it all.

An 11-year career is a milestone at any position in this league and if this it, Clifton played a big role on some big teams that did big things.

Marshall Newhouse who has played both left and right tackle for the Pack is next in line for Clifton’s spot. That scenario could change if the right pick slides to the team in the draft on Thursday.
