INDIANAPOLIS – For one and a half games the Orlando Magic was set to stun the world. After winning Game 1 of their series against the Pacers, they came into Game 2 looking to set a decisive tone.

They did that and going into the half carrying the lead, they must have felt good about where they were and what they were doing.

The Pacers halftime locker room must have been legendary because it truly woke them up.

Look at the score and consider that the Magic led at the half and that tells you every thing that you need to know about the third and fourth quarters.

What was predicted to happen at Game 1’s first tip came to light and now the Magic face the daunting task of trying to figure out how to win games without lighting a fire underneath the Pacers.

I believe that the rebounding stat is basketball’s most telling. It displays who had the authority, who was working and who was imposing their pure will on the court.

In the second half the Pacers took over 26 rebounds to the Magic’s 13. That means they beat the Magic to the punch 2-1.

David West came out with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers tonight and in these eyes is Indiana’s player of the game.

One thing to note is that Indiana C Roy Hibbert (13 rebounds) was in foul trouble from almost the very start of the contest. If the Pacers are to keep his minutes at a premium he has to play smarter basketball.

George Hill and Danny Granger both scored 18 points for the Pacers.

Glen Davis led Orlando with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Game 3 heads to Orlando on Wednesday tied at one game apiece.
