Jason Kidd’s ex-wife defends him against Mark Cuban

Earlier this week, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban expressed how he currently feels about his former star Jason Kidd.  During a radio interview with KESN-FM, Cuban stated that there was “ no chance” that he would retire Kidd’s jersey in the rafters of the American Airlines Center after Kidd up and bolted t the New York Knicks in free agency.

To recap, Cuban’s key points from the interview are below.

“I was more than upset,” Cuban told. “I thought he was coming (back). I was pissed.”

“J-Kidd’s a big boy, he can do whatever he wants,” Cuban said. “But you don’t change your mind like that. I’m sure I’ll get over it at some point, but as of right now, I wouldn’t put J-Kidd’s number in the rafters.”

“I like J-Kidd,” Cuban added. “He’s a good guy. But I just thought that was wrong. You can’t put a guy’s number in the rafters when he decides he doesn’t want to be there.”

“It hurt my feelings, period, because I thought that we had developed a relationship and I thought [Kidd] was committed to the organization. It sure seemed like he was. I mean, J-Kidd was active in going out there and talking to Deron Williams the whole time. I guess it was more shocking and surprising than anything else.”

So with all that said, Cuban is being rebutted by of all people Kidd’s ex-wife who allegedly would not spit on Kidd if he was on fire.

Joumana Kidd stepped up to the plate and told TMZ that Cuban’s dead-wrong for denying her ex his moment of greatness.

“[Jason] is an amazing basketball player I can never take that away from him.  He’s one of the best guards to ever play in the league. “

She adds, “Lots of fans would love to see his jersey retired in Dallas … I believe he’s earned it and he deserves that based on what he did for the Mavericks.”

Time will heal this wound and it will happen maybe a year or two after Kidd bids farewell to the NBA for good.

Right now, he just needs to focus on getting ready for the upcoming season and staying out of the clubs of New York.

It seems like they still have something going on. Most women wouldn’t give a crap if their ex husband who beat them was lynched. Her defending him seems suspect. Maybe she’s why he moved back to New York with no warning to the team where he’s the captain. It sounds real suspicious. Somethings going on with them.
