DENVER- The Denver Nuggets are serious about spending time with JaVale McGee. The restricted free agent has a five-year, $50 million deal waiting for him that the team expects to dish out according to the Denver Post.
McGee at 24 has the talent to become a game-changing center and has always shown flourishes of that throughout his career.
The Nuggets provide a nice landing spot for him to mature and grow after he did not make the best decisions both on and off the court during his time with the Wizards before he was traded.
He can become a premier big and his people are trying to squeeze on Denver for terms that are more favorable for him.
The Nuggets are the only team that can give him a five-year contract.
That’s all-good but as part of a playoff caliber team, McGee needs to chalk his previous experiences up to immaturity and literally rebound to become what he is capable of becoming.
The Nuggets were slow last year to integrate him into their system but they look ready to roll with him now after he put up nice numbers during his minutes in the playoffs.
