Is Joseph Addai’s career over?

FOXBORO – Is RB Joseph Addai done?  The former Colts standout was cut yesterday before his stint with the Patriots could get started because he reportedly struggled and subsequently quit during the team’s conditioning test according to CSNE.

Addai has spent the last two seasons especially dealing with chronic injuries such as his 2011 bout with a bad hamstring.

This move was expected more when the Patriots brought him in as a veteran free agent. At that time he reportedly looked great and was a threat to become another name veteran that would do well for New England after his value had supposedly diminished.

Addai is not either Corey Dillon or Randy Moss as Bill Belichick bluntly commented “It didn’t work out.”

Addai made a nice chunk of change playing  for the Colts so unless the former number-one pick squandered his money Chris  McAlister style, in that regard he’s good.

So was his run at trying to make it with the Patriots his way of wanting to make sure he was done for good?

It takes a to force a man out of football and for him to “quit” during a routine conditioning test after the injuries that he’s suffered, comes across as if there is no more fight left in him.
