The NBA semifinals are underway and if they are anything like the quarterfinals, there will be plenty of jaw-dropping surprises and hard fought competition.
Only the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat advanced with ease out of the first round.
Had a few calls and a little bit of luck gone in other directions, we could easily be looking at some combination of the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic or the Atlanta Hawks still in the midst of the tourney.
Series: Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers
Notes: With Chris Bosh down for the series and maybe longer, the Heat are taking a major hit. Bosh is the glue to a lot of the packages that the Heat puts together. If this was the finals or a series against the Celtics, I might be tempted to consider counting them out. The Pacers are a talented group that plays with precise patience. What they are currently missing is a killer instinct that can take advantage of both the Bosh injury and a late game lead. Prediction: Heat in a competitive five
