NEW YORK- The wait is over in regards to the landing spot for S Yeremiah Bell. The 34-year-old safety was able to create a mild buzz for himself by feeding the media with small clues as to where he was going to end up.

The assumed destination based on the whereabouts of his agent Drew Rosenhaus was Philadelphia.

Today the Jets announced that have signed Bell to a one-year, $1.4 million contract.

Now that he will suit up for the Jets instead of the Miami Dolphins where he has spent his entire career, the AFC’s most notable match-up just got much more interesting.

Bell is a starter so I would expect the Jets to work him in with LaRon Landry to seal the only leaks in the Jets secondary.

In eight seasons Bell has notched 562 tackles, 11 sacks and six interceptions.
