MIAMI – The Indiana Pacers got down and gritty fighting tooth and nail down to the last second to snatch a low scoring affair away from the Miami Heat.
George Hill and David West was the tag team of the night linking up for 31 points. West drained a total of 31 points and brought down 10 rebounds as Hill delivered 15 points.
The Pacers for the most part shot and rebounded well but defensively they held the Heat to a 34.6 shooting percentage.
Still, LeBron James walked away with 28 points and nine rebounds and Dwyane Wade contributed 24 points.
It was Wade’s 8-22 field goal numbers which seem to be impacted the most by the Pacers stout defense.
Is it time to hit the panic button as it seems that the absence of forward Chris Bosh made all of the difference last night?
Not just yet.
During Game 2, the Pacers fought with everything that they had to get the win. That amount of effort will be extremely hard to bring to the court for another three games. Even then, that is not a guarantee that will be enough to get it done as this one was one shot away from being a different conversation.
