PV staff writer Adam Rosen breaks down the rise and fall of the NFL’s hottest streaks and coldest falls.

Despite leading the league in defensive interceptions (23), the one thing that might separate the Packers from perfection is being ranked second-to-last in yards allowed.  Last Week: 1

If it weren’t for Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees would be the MVP. Last Week: 2

Baltimore should finish the season 13-3, leading to at least one home playoff game. Last Week: 3

Having the league’s easiest schedule to end the season, the Patriots won’t play “meaningful” football until the playoffs.  One thing though is for sure: Brady and Belichick will be ready. Last Week: 4

The defending AFC champions and their top ranked defense in the league are playing their best football of the year.  Last Week: 5

En route to capturing their first division title since 2002, the Niners defense still hasn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher nor a rushing touchdown this season. Last Week: 6

Rookie QB, T.J. Yates was impressive in their victory over the Falcons, but if Andre Johnson isn’t healthy, the Texans playoff lives might be very short. Last Week: 7

Lost in the “Tebow Mania” is that rookie linebacker Von Miller is on pace to break both the Denver Broncos (11.5) and NFL (14.5) records for sacks in a rookie season. Last Week: 13

The Jets are eventually going to play a game that not playing well for three quarters is going to be too much to overcome. Last Week: 14

Roddy White leads the league in dropped passes (11). Michael ” the Burner” Turner’s flame has been snuffed out over the past two weeks. Cornerback Brent Grimes is out with a knee injury. This was the formula for the Falcon’s loss in Houston. Last Week: 8

Just when the Cowboys looked like the team to beat in the NFC East, they go ahead and lose to the Cardinals. Last Week: 9

Even after losing six in a row, the Giants could fly home in first place with a victory over the Cowboys Sunday night. Last Week: 16

How many dumb penalties will the Lions continue to have during a game? Last Week: 15

If Darren McFadden doesn’t return to the field, the Raiders will not make the playoffs.

Philip Rivers is 21-3 in his career during the month of December. Last Week: 18

With the emergence of the Chris Johnson, the Titans might be a hard out after all. Last Week: 17

Although 6 wins have come against teams with a losing record, there is no doubt the Bengals have found their quarterback and wide receiver of the future. Last Week: 12

First Jay Cutler.  Now Matt Forte.  Who’s next? Last Week: 11

Having won three straight games at home for the first time in three years, Tony Sparano might have saved his job. Last Week: 23

If the Panthers learn how to play defense next season, Cam Newton will lead this team to the playoffs. Last Week: 20

Over their six-game losing streak, the Bucs have been penalized 45 times. Last Week: 22

The Giants say ‘thank you.’ Last Week: 25

The only exciting thing about Monday Night Football this week will be watching Marshawn Lynch. Last Week: 26

During their five game losing streak, the Bills are giving up an average of 31 points-per-game. Last Week: 21

Having once again not played a full season, do you think the Eagles regret giving Michael Vick $100 million dollars? Last Week: 19

Listening to Dexter McCluster sing is more entertaining than watching the Chiefs on offense. Last Week: 27

And that’s why Rex Grossman was benched earlier on the season. Last Week: 24

Maybe the Vikings need a “Boat Party” to shake things up for next season?

After watching his offense on Monday night against the Chargers, Mel Tucker is praying he doesn’t get the head coaching job next season. Last Week: 29

Colt McCoy is not a franchise quarterback. Last Week: 30

In the upcoming draft, the Rams will have their choice of any player, but Andrew Luck.  I think it’s time to get Sam Bradford some help on the offensive line. Last Week: 31

This is just unacceptable. Last Week: 32
