NEW ORLEANS- The hits just keep on raining down in the Big Easy.  New Orleans Saints linebacker Lawrence Wilson has been suspended for one game and fined a total of two game paychecks for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Truthfully, this will probably be the biggest news of Johnson’s season. Right now, he’s not a lock to make the team after being scooted from the Panther’s practice squad for getting arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession and speeding last November.

Despite being a sixth-round draft pick, Wilson is a player that plenty of people had their eye on thanks to a standout collegiate career at U Conn.

He allegedly cried when he was arrested last year and if the Saints decide to carry on with him he will only miss the opening game against the Washington Redskins.

On a side/analysis style note, Lawrence Wilson has the potential to be the real deal. He’s got natural instinct for the position and can get to the ball quickly after he breaks a play down. In short, he’s a hunter and I hope that he can get it together and take advantage of his talents.
