Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt may need second surgery on injured knee.

NASHVILLE- When the Titans drafted RG3’s favorite target Kendall Wright out of Baylor it may have meant more than anyone knew.
Titans coach Mike Munchak is dropping hints that his star wide out Kenny Britt may need a follow-up surgery on his right knee.
After Britt tore his right ACL and MCL last September, he had reconstructive surgery in early October.
It was thought that Britt would reenter the Titans line-up this year with no complications but that may not be the case according to Titans beat writer Terry McCormick.
McCormick quoted Munchak who feels that a second surgery for Britt is not that serious.
“I think it always is (possible),” Munchak said. “I don’t know if he will at some point, but I think that’s something that’s common with that injury. Derrick (Morgan) went through it last year. The good thing is that even if you do have it, it’s not a huge setback. It’s not something that sets you way back. But that is obviously part of the process, or could be, if that arises down the road.”
“We don’t look at as a big deal. You have to look at it as why it’s happening, but it’s something that with guys who have had ACLs this is very common, something that’s gone on at times,” Munchak said. “Sometimes it happens much sooner than Derrick’s did, and sometimes it happens like Derrick’s did, once you get more active. We’ll see. He’s been doing well, running hard, and we’ll just have to see how the knee responds.”
If Britt does require another procedure to get completely right, there is no question that he will be ready to play before the season starts.
What might be up in the air is will this change the type of receiver that he is? Before the injury he was dynamite quick and gave the Titans a deep threat that could create homeruns out of thin air.
The hardest thing to regain after this injury is explosiveness.
Does this mean Wright will create the big plays coming out of the slot leaving Britt to shoulder the weight of the intermediate routes?
If that is the Titans plan are they going to work with Britt to bulk up his torso so that he will be able to withstand the punishment that comes with catching across the middle of the field?
These answers should start to reveal themselves when OTAs start.
