Team: Carolina Panthers

Cap room: $623,978.00
The deal: I don’t see how the Panthers can make it through this season with the financial mess that they are in.

Somebody is going to have to restructure their deal. And seeing that a few guys such as cornerback Chris Gamble ($6.75 million) have already restructured their deals, veteran wide receiver Steve Smith ($7.75 million) may be the next in line.

Before the league year started the team was over the cap so there has already been some cost slashing with guys such as Jordan Gross who restructured his deal.

There’s really not much to see here but its going to be a long road for a young team that might be anchored down by their inability to get their books on the right path.
