Victor Cruz and Roddy White take jabs at each other

The NFL season would not be the NFL season if players did not bark at each other via the media social or otherwise.
On Sunday the NFL Network will air an interview that was taped between Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin and the Atlanta Falcons core pass catchers in Julio Jones and Roddy White.
In one particular preview that is currently on the air, Irvin asked the duo point blank if they were a better tandem than the New York Giants’ Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks.
During his answer White was very pointed.
“The thing that me and [Julio Jones] bring to the game, we’re probably the best duo in the league right now,” White said.
“Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver; the big boys play on the outside,” White said.
The shots were fired but the target does not seem to be faded according to the Star-Ledger.
“I couldn’t care less about what anybody else has to say,” Cruz said. “I got a ring back at home. I don’t care about what Roddy White has to say.”
In the take that rebuttal of the weekend, Cruz’s words probably sting with a lot more bite seeing that it was the Giants that put Atlanta out of the playoffs in the 2011-2012 season.
White has never been one to shy away from voicing his thoughts and feelings and truthfully Cruz has a lot of ground to makeup before he can say that he has played on White’s level with White’s consistency.
Still you cannot deny that Cruz has a dance and a ring that set the world on fire.
These remarks just add to the various storylines that will hang over both groups when they meet on December 16th at the Georgia Dome.
